Lesson 4

 

Lesson Generalization- You can change the meaning of a word by adding a prefix directly to the front of the word.  The spelling of the base word does not change.

 

Examples

 

re + double = redouble

sub + urban = suburban

pro + long = prolong

 

redouble, recommend, deserve, depart, adjoin, administer, exact, exclaim, indent, install, conquest, consequence, suburban, subdivision, prediction, precaution, percent, perform, propose, prolong
